One of the pioneering Sciton Joule light and laser technology family of treatments, MOXI™ is a non-ablative (aka non-tissue vaporising) laser that delivers a precise wavelength of light below the skin’s surface. Via the use of a computerised roller-style handpiece that tracks the ideal treatment speed/duration, the laser induces a controlled ‘injury’ just large enough to spur cellular renewal and the production of collagen, super-boosting skin health but with minimal damage to the surface layer.

For instance, we often combine the BBL® HEROic™ – one of the only varieties of light therapy shown in a study to have the potential to rejuvenate ageing skin cells at a DNA level, and which is renowned for remedying pigmentation or vascular issues – with the MOXI™ which then adds clarity and brightness to the tone and texture of skin. The MOXI™ can also detect and work on subtler issues, such as sun damage too light to be picked up by the BBL® HEROic™.
Using the MOXI™ alongside ClearSilk® (the lightest touch of all the Sciton Joule laser therapies) can provide an excellent double-duty treatment for Black or richly melanated skin. While both are non-ablative, meaning they gently stimulate renewal without peeling or damaging the top layer of the skin (essentially for this skin type), ClearSilk® digs into inflammation and scarring while MOXI™ focuses on more surface-level concerns.
