The TLC exploratory call
New patients (excluding those booking one of our zero-prep Therapist Services treatments) will have a detailed exploratory appointment with our expert call coordinator, either via a telephone call, as a virtual session or in person (depending on your preference), where we’ll discuss your concerns, aspirations, benchmarks and aesthetic preferences.
As both a trained aesthetics therapist and skilled clinical assistant, our call coordinator will be able to answer any questions you have in detail, and recommend whether you need to have a follow-up consultation or not with a TLC therapist or doctor
Please note that all patients are welcome to have a call with our treatment coordinator, should they want to do so, regardless of the level of treatment or history that a patient has with us. Many people find that a regular check-in to discuss topics such as their progress to date, or the new products, devices and treatments we offer, is both a comforting and informative experience.
Welcome to the clinic
On the day of your treatment, you’ll need to check in at our reception approximately 10 minutes before your appointment begins – or 30-60 minutes prior should you need a topical anaesthetic cream applied – after which you can relax in our lounge area until we are ready for you. Here, all consent forms will be rechecked, remaining forms completed and outstanding photos taken. Please note that we’re more than happy to support you with filling in any final details, should you be having any problems or uncertainties in doing so.
Because we’ll recalibrate our treatment approach to ensure it’s as perfectly suited to you as possible on the day, if the original consultation was provided online, we’ll take another set of photos immediately prior to treatment.
At this point, we’ll ask you to remove all makeup and thoroughly cleanse your skin before your treatment session (ideally, please come to the clinic without wearing any cosmetics if possible – the more makeup-free you are, the more effective the treatment will be).
Excelling after treatment
Immediately after your session, we’ll provide you with post-treatment makeup or skincare (such as non-comedogenic moisturiser, containing ingredients that won’t clog or block your pores), depending on what best suits your needs.
Advice on how to self-care for your skin following your treatment will be provided both verbally after the session and in a follow-up summary email, so you’ll always have a comprehensive overview to refer back to. However, you are always more than welcome to call us for a recap should any of your post-treatment symptoms be concerning you, or if you just feel you need a bit of additional advice or have any questions or concerns down the line.
If you’ve booked a treatment or package of treatments involving repeat sessions, we’ll usually advise that you book your next appointment prior to leaving clinic to make sure we keep your journey fully on-track to achieve the most optimal results. Similarly, we’ll also provide you with a set of personalised skincare suggestions to ensure your treatments work as hard as possible for as long as possible.
