Designed to support your skin after more intensive treatments, this facial combines Japanese lifting and draining facial massage, starting at the chest to encourage fluid to move efficiently away from the face, with LED light therapy or Lyma laser to calm inflammation and speed recovery. Ice globe massage cools and de-puffs, leaving skin soothed, sculpted and visibly less swollen. Performed by Carly Argent, with over 23 years of professional experience, it is the perfect companion to injectables or any treatment where downtime is a concern.
“I love being able to offer clients real support after their other treatments — this is the facial I reach for when skin needs to calm down and recover beautifully, not just look good for a moment”
The Restore Ritual brings together three highly effective recovery tools into a single, deeply considered treatment, each selected to support your skin through the days and weeks following a more intensive procedure such as microneedling, injectables or laser.
The session begins with Japanese lifting and draining facial massage, starting at the chest rather than the face. This is a deliberate technique: by first clearing the body’s major drainage pathways at the chest and neck, Carly ensures that fluid has somewhere to go once the facial massage begins, allowing it to move away from the face far more efficiently than facial massage alone. The result is a visible reduction in puffiness, tightness and swelling.
Carly then introduces either LED light therapy or Lyma laser, selected according to what your skin needs that day, before closing the treatment with ice globe massage to cool, de-puff and visibly calm the skin.
Japanese Lifting and Draining Facial Massage: A centuries-old Japanese facial massage technique, prized for its ability to stimulate the lymphatic system. By starting at the chest and working upward, Carly encourages the body’s lymphatic fluid to drain away from the face more effectively, easing the puffiness, tightness and tenderness that so often follow intensive treatments. Beyond drainage, the gentle, rhythmic massage technique also improves microcirculation, bringing fresh oxygen and nutrients to the skin to support its natural healing process.
LED Light Therapy: Using our hospital-grade Korean LED device, specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light are delivered to the skin to calm inflammation and accelerate cellular repair. Red light stimulates fibroblast activity and supports collagen production, while also helping to settle redness and sensitivity, making it an ideal companion treatment when skin is in active recovery mode. It is entirely non-invasive and pain-free.
Lyma Laser: As an alternative to LED, Carly may select Lyma laser, which uses clinically proven photobiomodulation technology to penetrate deep into the skin at a precise wavelength. This calms inflammation at a cellular level and accelerates the skin’s own repair process, helping to settle redness and discomfort more rapidly after other treatments, with zero additional downtime. When Lyma laser is selected, Carly also uses Lyma’s Oxygen Mist and Glide, engineered specifically to optimise the laser’s results. Formulated with active stabilised oxygen (ASO), said to deliver results up to 100 times more effective than a traditional oxygen facial, the Oxygen Mist floods the skin with this critical antioxidant to accelerate cellular protection, boost blood flow and support moisture retention, while the Glide instantly plumps the skin for a more youthful, hydrated appearance.
Ice Globe Massage: The treatment includes ice globe massage, using chilled glass globes glided across the skin to constrict blood vessels and reduce inflammation almost instantly. This cooling effect visibly de-puffs and tightens the skin, leaves a sculpted, contoured appearance, and provides an immediately soothing finish after the more active stages of the treatment.
The Restore Ritual is the perfect companion to microneedling, injectables, laser or any treatment where downtime is a concern, helping you recover more comfortably and see your results sooner. It is equally suited to anyone whose skin simply needs a moment of calm — reducing redness and swelling while supporting the skin’s own recovery, with results you can feel from the very first session.
There are no adverse effects associated with The Restore Ritual, and it is gentle enough to be added on the same day as your other treatments or booked as a standalone session whenever your skin needs extra care. Many guests choose to book this in the days immediately following a more intensive procedure, to help calm the skin and accelerate visible recovery.
The restore ritual offers calming, soothing, and accelerated recovery after your more intense treatments, helping to improve downtime.
Here are a few final things that you might like to know before taking things forward. If you have any other questions we haven’t thought of yet, no problem! Please email us at hello@thelovelyclinic.co.uk and one of the team will get back to you as quickly as they possibly can.
Only minimally discomfiting, you should expect a short-lived pricking sensation during each injection.
The effect usually emerges from three to five days, reaching its full impact between two and three weeks, so if you have a special event to attend it’s important to plan accordingly. We advise scheduling a treatment one month prior to a big occasion so there’s ample time to make any adjustments.
There is no antidote to wrinkle relaxation, but the effects do reverse over time as the treatment wears off.
Not looking natural or no longer resembling oneself is a significant concern for lots of people. However, thanks to our focus on creating a harmonious set of facial features, most of our patients report that others seem to sense something positive has changed, without being able to put their finger on why. We’re proud to have three medical doctors with dentistry degrees on the team at TLC and highly experienced nurses, whose in-depth understanding of dental and facial anatomy has underscored our capacity to unlock especially natural-looking results.
Problems associated with Advanced Muscle Relaxing Injectables include bruising and temporarily droopy eyelids or eyebrows. However, we minimise these risks by initially taking things slowly and using a conservative volume of the injectable, building gradually to determine a patient’s preferred look.
Headaches are fairly common following an initial treatment with some (far fewer) patients also experiencing tiredness, neck weakness, double vision, and nausea.
