Dr Sarah Tonks says...

“Scalp facials have recently become a major trend because of their multiple benefits – from halting or reversing hair loss or thinning to revitalising hair for people who regularly use colourants or hair extensions. They’re also great for anyone who’s preparing for hair restoration surgery.”

The Scalp Facial:

Our reimagined Scalp Facial is a three-stage protocol built around the Préime DermaFacial – the five-technology skin management platform that lets us tailor every step to the condition of your scalp, and finished with microneedling to drive a dedicated hair and scalp formula exactly where it needs to go.

Stage One: Cleanse and Tone. We begin by cleansing the scalp and toning it with a PDRN toner – a gentle, beautifully soothing formula built around polydeoxyribonucleotides (nucleotide chains derived from DNA, prized in regenerative aesthetics for their ability to support the skin’s own repair processes), plus allantoin and active plant extracts to calm and comfort. Kind enough for the most sensitive scalps, it creates the ideal canvas for everything that follows.

Stage Two: The AquaB Hydrofacial. Next comes the multi-faceted AquaB, the supreme cleansing (and then some) mode of the five-pronged Préime DermaFacial toolkit. Marrying high-tech spiral movement with vacuum technology, it cleanses and exfoliates, lifting away dry patches, sebum and the build-up of natural oils from styling products – before refreshing the skin with an infusion of nourishing active ingredients. Think of it as a deep clean, an exfoliation and a drink of water, all at once.

Stage Three: Scalp Microneedling. Finally, we finish with microneedling, creating thousands of tiny channels across the scalp to stimulate the body’s own healing and repair response – and, just as importantly, to carry the Préime Hair & Scalp Booster past the surface and down towards the follicle, where it can actually get to work. It’s the difference between a product that sits on top of the scalp and one that reaches the root of the matter.

To finish, if you’d like: Hair-Specific Exosomes. For anyone who wants to take things further, we can round off the treatment with an application of hair-specific exosomes – the tiny, growth-factor-carrying sacks that cells use to signal to one another, chosen here for their ability to support follicle activity and encourage growth. Applied right at the end, while the micro-channels created by the needling are still open, they travel far deeper than they ever could on the surface alone.
